Prof. Dr. Eva Freisinger

Curriculum vitae:

Eva Freisinger was born 1972 in Geldern, NRW, Germany, were she also visited elementary and high school.

In 1991, she started her studies in Chemistry at the University of Dortmund, NRW, Germany, receiving her Diploma degree in 1996.

She carried out her PhD studies in Bioinorganic Chemistry with Prof. Dr. B. Lippert at the same university (1996-2000).

Subsequently, she moved to the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook on Long Island, NY, USA, to join the Structural Biology research group of Prof. Dr. C. Kisker as a Post doc, partly with a research fellow ship granted by the 'Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft' (2000-2003).

In 2003, she came back to Europe to start her Habilitation in Bioinorganic Chemistry at the Inorganic Chemical Institute of the University of Zürich in the group of Prof. Dr. H. Berke. She was awarded a SNF-Förderungsprofessor recently, which she started June 2008.
Additionally, Prof. Freisinger is the study advisor of the Institute.
