Mono- and Dinuclear Metal Complexes Inducing Z-DNA Z-DNA forms a left-handed helix in contrast to normal right-handed DNA. Z-DNA needs for its formation alternating purine - pyrimidine nucleobase sequences. Z-DNA has been implicated as an additional gene regulating element. We are interested in the additional conditions which are necessary to induce Z-DNA. Therefore we synthesize and study mono- and dinuclear metal complexes that shall induce Z-DNA. |
